Totally Tropical

170 Harbour Way, Shoreham-by-sea, BN43 5HJ

Jules is opening her home for the first time this year, and will be joined by four other artists. Come and enjoy a drink in the artist’s tropical garden, but mind you don’t fall out of the hammock!  Peruse the exciting and varied range of arts and crafts on display, from landscapes to portraits, paintings to sculptures, realism to abstract assemblage, we’ve got something for everyone. You may even catch Jules working on one of her garden murals.

I started painting just a few years ago, so I like to experiment with many different subject matters and styles, and I feel I’m learning all the time. I love detail and colours, and like to put an unusual spin on the everyday.
My daughter is my favourite model and I will be exhibiting portraits alongside land and seascapes for the art trail.
Talk to me about commissioning a portrait of your loved one, or just take a look at the prints and cards I have for sale.

I seek out old postage stamps, atlases and maps to create miniature scenes of travel and adventure. I present these collages/ assemblages in old broken clocks and upcycled frames. I love bringing new life and meaning to these beautiful, redundant items.

A Toddle of Tortoises: A procession of peripatetic tortoises trundling its way to an exotic location. Unique ceramic individuals, lovingly crafted in weather and frost-proof stoneware to bring joy to your garden.

Although I like to work as a sculptor (in steel and other materials) I am intrigued by assemblage and unusual art styles. These explore other parts of the mind and give a nod to Surrealism and Constructivism.
I enjoy using paint and texture to create images which allow the viewer to create their own mindscapes and perhaps spark some emotion

Over the last four years since becoming a full-time artist, I have been developing my studio practice, bringing a more experimental painterly approach to my body of work. From time spent incorporating printmaking right back to the way, I use colour, textiles & paper collage work.
The art and paintings I’ve made are now owned all across the world and have been featured on the front of vinyl single covers for musicians as well as being regularly published in magazines.
My work has been shown on Sky Arts, Landscape Artist of the Year, hung at The Turner Contemporary, and shortlisted and exhibited as part of the Glyndebourne Tour Art Competition 2021.
